Are you looking for a church in Glendale, California that offers Sunday school? Look no further than First Evangelical Sunday School Church (FECG). At FECG, our mission is to help children understand God's love and care for them, and to provide them with wise instructions about God's ways through their own parents and the Christian community. Our children's ministries provide a safe and nurturing environment where kids can learn about the love and grace of Jesus. Our Sunday school and worship schedules for children include Bible discovery, teaching, memory work, crafts and skill development at a level of understanding appropriate for their age.
The tradition of Sunday school in Glendale dates back to 1904 when First Baptist on Louise Street was established. Later, in 1927, members felt the need to offer Sunday school to children living near John Muir. This outreach program eventually led to the formation of a church. Compulsory public education was instituted in the 1870s both here and in England and, later, Sunday schools were reserved for religious education. The Elder Ministry of the Glendale Christian Church exists to allow older adult members to commune together and experience the touch of God. At FECG, we strive to create a loving environment where children can learn about the love and grace of Jesus.
Our Sunday school and worship schedules are tailored to each child's age and understanding. We also have an Elder Ministry that allows older adults to commune together and experience the touch of God.
